The quotations in the email were all very profound and inspiring and also all said by men (not that there's anything wrong with that :) ). Being the only female student in the class though, I felt compelled to add an inspirational quote from a woman:
“You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.”

To me this says: You must be brave enough to take chances and not fear failure for sometimes success is the result of failure.

So true Kate! The light is near the end of the tunnel for the both of us in our Language and Literacy program.
I guess we have a women's rights advocate. Good job going the extra mile and coming up with your own preferred inspirational or motivational quote. I often search quote websites for introductory comments for presentations. Hey, that's an idea... maybe we should add some to our language arts presentation???
